IMPORTANT UPDATE (February 2026) – Visa-Free entry for select countries

Citizens from a growing number of countries can now travel to China without needing a visa for short stays. This includes:

Albania, Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bahrain, Barbados, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Dominica, Ecuador, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Grenada, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Norway, Oman, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Samoa, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, South Korea, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Tonga, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Uzbekistan

If you are a passport holder from one of the countries listed above, you are eligible to enter China visa free for short stays, provided your visit does not exceed the permitted duration, usually 15 or 30 days depending on your nationality.

Although a visa and official invitation letter are not required in this case, we strongly recommend that you still apply for the China Hair Expo invitation letter and carry it with you during your travel. In some situations, immigration officers may ask for proof of the purpose of your visit. Having the official invitation letter with you can help ensure a smooth and hassle free entry process.

However, visa policies can change. We strongly advise all travelers to double-check the current visa requirements with your local Chinese embassy or consulate before departure.
